Who Let The Dogs Out?

 Even if you are always staying at home, you can also find interesting subjects. You only need your rich imagination and creativity. Get your compact point and shoot digital camera, look for subjects and shoot your  heart out!

Look at this photo of cute puppies. At first look, they are alive little creatures. These are clay decorations on our house. Match with a bright green background, they are life-like. Try it by setting your cam into macro mode and a little optical zoom. Much better if the background is farther to achieve a good blur.

I took this photo on a broad daylight. My point and shoot camera automatically adjusted the aperture value.It was also shot on macro mode with larger aperture value that resulted on a dim background.

Fallen Beauties

Location: Mabalacat, Pampanga

I took this photo using my camera's macro mode. I love using these feature of my cam. It lets me to capture very small subjects with great details.These are fallen flowers of Narra trees outside our dormitory. They are only a few millimeters in size but they looked larger when captured using macro mode.

The Haunted Corridor

This photo was taken during my stay at the men's dormitory 3 of Trust International Paper Corporation in Pampanga. I like this because of the symmetry and lighting. Using Photoscape, I was able to create a creepy image on this one.

Night Shot: The Sugarcane Carrier

I hate night shots. For a user of a fully- automatic point and shoot digital camera, taking pictures without natural light is one of the hardest. Your shot may be over-exposed if you use the built-in flash or too dim if you shot without it. Adjusting to a higher ISO may help but your photo may become a little bit noisy . A slight movement when shooting without a flash will also spoil the overall image quality.

On this photo, I do not have a tripod. I just put my cam on a flat surface, composed, and use the 10 seconds timer. Why use the timer? It is because a small movement when pressing the shutter button will make the image blurry.

A Stormy Day

Location: Snake Island, Honda Bay, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan

One of the highlights of our tour in Palawan was the island hopping at Honda Bay. Together with some other tourist we don't even know, we cross the vast sea just to see the most beautiful places Palawan has to offer. We had our stopover at Snake Island to have our lunch. As we approached midday, the once blue sky turned into a black swirl heading our direction. We immediately packed our things and head for the hotel. Storm clouds and big waves ruined our vacation.:(

 I was able to take photographs before we boarded our boat to the pier. That dark formation of clouds brought heavy downpours that made our trip more dangerous. Luckily, we survived and made it to the hotel safely.

Candid Shot : Playful Little Girl

This photo was taken during our island hopping on Honda Bay. As part of our tour package, we were able to visit some islands on this part of Sulu sea. One of the largest and most beautiful island we visited is the Snake Island. It got it's name from the snake-like sandbars during low-tide and viewed from above.

This girl didn't notice that she's om my lens. What a very beautiful sight to see. It depicts innocence and freedom. A child's world where everyday is just fun and play.

Palawan : A Must See Paradise

Have you been to Palawan, Philippines? It is a heaven on earth you must see before you die. :) Regarded as the final frontier of the Philippines, it boasts an abundant supply of good places to see. Truly a paradise for experienced and newbie photographers alike.
